Now for some commands
Do not change the red part change the blue part to what is required.

connect using ip:port
type connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:zzzzz press enter
change xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to the ip address and zzzzz to the port number.
i.e for our server use connect 195.149.21.187:28960 press enter

join a private slot on server
type password xxxx press enter, change xxxx to password.
then use the connect to ip command above.

RCON usage
It is very likely that you are not playing at the same location (IP address) as your server is. That's where we use RCON (= remote control) commands for.
Using RCON is very easy but before you can use RCON, you will have to login:
You must use / before the commands or everyone will see what you type

type /rcon login xxxx press enter, change xxxx to password.
you can now use RCON commands.

Examples of RCON commands:
/rcon status
/rcon banclient 5

/rcon serverinfo - This command shows the server settings and configurations.

/rcon map map_name- This will load the given map. Change map_name to whatever map.
Map names can be found at the bottom of this post.

/rcon map_rotate - This will load the next map of the rotation.

/rcon map_restart - This will restart the current map.

/rcon fast_restart - This will restart the current map just like /map_restart but is much faster as it will not load the map again. It will just restart the map.

/rcon status - This shows information about the connected players. This includes the client ID, score, ping, GUID, name and IP address.
The ID and name can be used for the following commands.

/rcon tell player id - This will display a message to a specific player. The ID is given with the /rcon status command.

/rcon clientkick player id - This will kick a player according to its ID (given with the /rcon status command).

/rcon kick player name - This will do the same as the /rcon clientkick command, but this command requires the player's name.
However, some names are very difficult to enter (with colour codes etc.), that's why the /rcon clientkick commands is easier in use.
You can use 'all' as player name, this will kick all players from the server.

/rcon banClient player id - This command will ban a player according to its ID. The player's GUID will be added to ban.txt.

/rcon banUser player name - This command does the same as the /rcon banclient command.
However, this requires you to fill in the player's name, it is therefore advised to use the /rcon banclient command (names can be long or contain colour codes).

/rcon tempBanClient player id - This will temporary ban a player using the player's ID.
The length of a temporary ban can be changed in the server configuration file. (smurfs is set to 1 hour)

/rcon tempBanUser player name - This will temporary ban a player using the player's name.

/rcon unbanUser player name - This will unban a user according to the player's name. If the player's name appears more than once in ban.txt,
you can edit the file and remove the banned player manually.

/rcon dumpuser player name - This will give information about the player.

Map Names

map name - map_name to use with /rcon commands

Backlot - mp_backlot
Average sized map in the middle of an middle-east town. Quite realistic, lots of hiding places.

Bloc - mp_bloc
Average sized map in russia, winter. With one big open place in the center and two long buildings on the sides, its one of the best maps to use a sniper.

Bog - mp_bog
Average sized map in middle-east. This was the map in the PC demo. Open field with some objects, on one side 2 buildings.

Wet work - mp_cargoship
Small map on a ship. You have two camps and everybody just runs into each other. You'll mainly get killed by grenades.

District - mp_citystreets
Nice realistic map with a variety of hide places. Once again a middle-eastern town with a market in the middle, lower than the rest of the map.

Ambush - mp_convoy
Two camps, separated by a hill/road with tanks. On both sides middle-eastern buildings. The map has some leaks/hacks.

Countdown - mp_countdown
Open area with random placed objects. Very unrealistic, has not many hide places...just run and shoot.

Crash - mp_crash
Very nice map. With a crashed helicopter in the middle of a middle-eastern environment, you can hide on some of the high buildings.

Crossfire - mp_crossfire
Map in a middle-east town. The road has an Z-shape, and makes it a wonderfull map for snipers and close-combat soldiers.

Downpour - mp_farm
Very different map than those middle-eastern maps; lots of green and rain. Has two machine guns placed at two sides of the map, spraying the whole map. Its very difficult to advance to the other side with your team: the sideways often get blocked.

Overgrown - mp_overgrown
Quite a large map, nice for snipers. Has some buildings and a (wanne-be) ditch in the middle. Through a map-hack, you can be on one of the rooftops.

Pipeline - mp_pipeline
Two large storage buildings with on one side open field (barely used) and on the other site a few buildings. The storage buildings look like the old mp_depot.

Shipment - mp_shipment
Very small map. Very busy and is just extremely random with the times you get killed.

Showdown - mp_showdown
Small map, one building in the center with a inner courtyard. Alleys at both sides of the building, very symmetric.

Strike - mp_strike
Nice map, quite realistic. Located in a south-east town, has some camper place though.

Vacant - mp_vacant
Average map located in a sort of office. Close range map with quick movements.
