boating story

Postby Don_Smurf » Sun Jul 12, 2009 11:10 pm

I when out on my boat from exmouth to do some fishing from local marks, wind was blowing a good force 3-4 gusting 5. drifting for bass and mackeral.
we were being slowly blown on some nearby rocks, My engine would not restart so called the Coast Guard, told them where we were etc, was duly told help would be on its way. Well after some 20mins I suddenly discovered the kill cord had come adrift and was hanging from my belt. Ha I thought whats it doing there???
well I attached it to the switch and tried to start again, well after a few minutes managed to get the engine started, called the coast guard and told them, at the same time i was told that they had launched the life boat for me. on route back in to exmouth the CG then told me that they have stood the life boat down. Well what an eventfull day, sorry did not see the lifeboat to take pictures.
Alls Well that ends well  :D
